Pull on your boots and grab your shovel — it’s time for Branches & Banks 2023!
We will be gathering on Saturday, May 13 for the 25th year of this community tree plant event. Organized by CEAC in partnership with the Town of Cochrane, Branches & Banks is a great outing for all ages – come alone, or bring your family, co-workers, neighbours and friends!
Join us at the riparian area west of the Bow River at the east end of Jim Uffelmann Park (north of the Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge). You can help with our planning by registering all participants (adults and youth) in advance, free of charge at the link below.
Approximately 600+ trees will be planted. Be sure to dress for the weather as the event goes ahead rain or shine. Bring gloves and spades for planting. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle.
Outreach Program: In conjunction with tree plant activities, volunteers will be given an opportunity to chat with local environmental educators.
On site Volunteer Check-In: starts at 9:00 am— look for the white canopy near the pathway along the river. Parking available at the SLS Centre east parking lot – walk over to the site.
