Branches and Banks – May 24, 2025
Pull on your boots and grab your shovel — it’s time for Branches & Banks 2025!
We will be gathering on Friday, May 23th (corporate and school day) and Saturday, May 24th (community day) for our 27th community tree plant event. Organized by CEAC in partnership with the Town of Cochrane, Branches & Banks is a great outing for all ages. Everyone is welcome on community day – come alone, or bring your family, co-workers, neighbours and friends!
This year we will gather at the Mitford Pond on the west side of Mitford Park to plant approximately 1,800 trees and shrubs. Event map and volunteer information will be added to this post as we finalize details for this year’s tree plant.
Be sure to dress for the weather as the event goes ahead rain or shine. Bring gloves, spades, and trowels for planting, garden buckets for moving mulch or hauling water. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle.
Outreach Program: In conjunction with tree plant activities, volunteers will be given an opportunity to chat with local environmental educators.
On site Volunteer Check-In: starts at 9:00 am— look for the white canopy. Parking available at the Mitford Park parking lot – walk over to the site. Porta-Potties are available in the parking lot.
